Tooling performance depends on the relationship between tool geometry, material grade, cutting conditions, machine capability and the workpiece. Shaheen Arabia’s Cutting Tools division works with customers to develop tools that are unavailable locally, improve a difficult process or restore worn tools to usable condition.
Local manufacture and regrinding shorten the supply path for tooling that would otherwise be imported, and let Shaheen Arabia reproduce obsolete or non-standard tools no longer available from the original source. Regrinding restores usable geometry and extends tool life, and where the tool condition allows it typically costs less than buying a new tool.
