Introduction

The component, not the overhaul.

Reliable hydrodynamic bearings depend on metallurgical process control, knowledge of tribology and metal systems, correct geometry, and control of the oil film in operation. Shaheen Arabia applies these disciplines to the manufacture, refurbishment and reverse engineering of white metal bearings and associated components for end users and original equipment manufacturers.

Our scope is the component, not the overhaul of the complete turbine, pump, compressor, motor or generator. We manufacture and refurbish bearings, seals, deflectors, pads and other relevant components used within rotating equipment, including non-standard and obsolete parts made to customer requirements.

How the Babbitt goes on.

The applicable lining or repair process is selected according to the bearing design, geometry, existing condition and technical requirement.

Centrifugal Casting

Uses centrifugal force to distribute Babbitt across the prepared bearing surface and support consistent lining.

Static Casting

Used for suitable components such as thrust shoes and unusually shaped bearings.

GTA Application

A controlled welding method used to apply Babbitt to suitable existing Babbitt surfaces.

Bond Preparation & Testing

Surface preparation, tinning where applicable, finishing, lapping and ultrasonic bond testing are carried out according to the approved process route.

Obsolete, unavailable, or no usable drawing.

Where a bearing or related component is obsolete, unavailable or supplied without a usable drawing, Shaheen Arabia can inspect the sample, develop the required dimensional information and manufacture or refurbish an exact replacement or an approved modified design. Manufacturing, engineering, sales and technical support are based in Jubail, and urgent technical information can be submitted by email, RFQ form or WhatsApp.
